album covers as outfits... (a lookbook)

Going to start this post off with a little story… About 2 months ago I was out for the day, and as I was walking home, a song came on, and I thought to myself ‘this outfit matches the song I’m listening to’, and an idea began to form in my head, hence this post. I came home and started planning, so this has been a long time in the making!

I have tried to match 5 outfits to album covers, including the one I wore on the day I first thought of the idea! I haven’t actually seen anyone do this so I am SO excited to be bringing you this!

outfit 1- boogie (brockhampton)

album cover :)

The first and original outfit I thought of: for this I paired a yellow long-sleeved crop (from PrettyLittleThing as a hand-me-down), with my blue ripped mom jeans (Primark) and my black patterned Converse. As for accessories I kept it simple and just added my iets frans all black D ring belt. I do love this outfit, and will wear it again, plus I live and die in these jeans!

outfit 2- roses (saint jhn)

album cover :)

My next look isn’t the perfect, but it can’t all be perfect! For this I borrowed this very pretty white top with a gorgeous flower on the right shoulder (was aiming for this to be a rose but I struggled!), and I paired this with a recent purchase: a pair of contrast stitch trousers from H&M. Again, I wore the iets frans all black D ring belt with this, and finished the look off with the COMFIEST trainers ever, the Adidas Swift Run Trainers (I’m obsessed).

outfit 3- goodbyes (post malone)

album cover :)

For this outfit, I took the black and blue from the album cover, and created this look which I am IN LOVE WITH! I wore my blue denim playsuit from Primark, and left it open, and wore a black bandeau underneath (also Primark), which creates a look that I really love! For shoes, I wore my Doc Martens, and I really think this adds to the overall vibe of this look.

outfit 4- feel it still (portugal the man)

album cover :)

This 4th outfit was so fun to shoot pictures in! I took the same bandeau from the last look, and instead paired it with these beautiful trousers from PrettyLittleThing (another hand-me-down). I finished the look off with my very dirty white high-top Converse, and these black sunglasses, which really pairs well with the look!

outfit 5- nothing on you (ed sheeran)

album cover :)

Finally, I went for a monochrome look to match this album cover. I wore this oversized t-shirt dress (Topshop) with my new favourite jacket (Topman- it’s a men’s XS but is still huge on me!) and once again wore my Doc Martens with this look. To add a bit of shape to the dress, I wore the iets frans black and white D ring belt around my waist, and this really added to the look in my opinion!

So, I hope you enjoyed this quite different post, I really enjoyed writing and planning it! Let me know which look was your favourite in the comments! Have an amazing weekend,
