album covers as outfits... (a lookbook)

Image
Going to start this post off with a little story… About 2 months ago I was out for the day, and as I was walking home, a song came on, and I thought to myself ‘this outfit matches the song I’m listening to’, and an idea began to form in my head, hence this post. I came home and started planning, so this has been a long time in the making! I have tried to match 5 outfits to album covers, including the one I wore on the day I first thought of the idea! I haven’t actually seen anyone do this so I am SO excited to be bringing you this! outfit 1- boogie (brockhampton) album cover :) The first and original outfit I thought of: for this I paired a yellow long-sleeved crop (from PrettyLittleThing as a hand-me-down), with my blue ripped mom jeans (Primark) and my black patterned Converse. As for accessories I kept it simple and just added my iets frans all black D ring belt. I do love this outfit, and will wear it again, plus I live and die in these jeans! outfit 2- roses (saint jhn) al...

ootd: jumping on the cycling shorts trend

Image
Hey, welcome back or welcome to my blog! I am an avid lover of fashion, and I have been switching up my style recently, and after investing in a few new pieces, as well as receiving a load of hand me downs about a month ago now, I’m loving my new style. I am trying to venture out a lot more and have been loving it! Layering, patterns and wide leg trousers seem to be my favourites, but I’m getting off track now. Today I’m here with an ootd post, one that features an item I never thought I’d wear, and as a matter of fact, now love. Cycling shorts are the key with this outfit. I just have a plain black pair on, from Primark, that I am going to invest in for a longgggg time! These are an XS on me, and fit really well! I also own a grey pair, but I really want to buy more. There was a time where I said ‘I’d never wear cycling shorts, they look awful’. But times have changed and I am now loving it! I paired these shorts with one of my favourite tops from Bershka, I feel like I belong on ...

my style evolution

It’s about time for a throwback on this blog, so I am going to take a trip down memory lane and explore my past fashion choices in the past 5 years, which has been, well… eventful. The reason I’d like to share this is to show how my style has changed and advanced as I have developed from a teen into an adult! We start in 2015, so I was 13, and my go to was a combination of hoodies and patterned leggings, and I’m very happy I moved on from the patterned leggings but my hoodie obsession has got a lot worse! i'm on the right :) I think this was my last year of wearing leggings in thought-out outfits, as I now just wear them for dance, around the house and in outfits with no effort! 2016 was a very basic but sporty year with my outfits. I definitely found my favourite colours this year were blue and monochrome, and I developed a love for skinny jeans in this year! I really stuck to my comfort zone too, and just went back to the basics. From what I remember my go to piece of clo...

my style wishlist (urban outfitters, stradivarius, bershka)

I am such a sucker for a bit of retail therapy and I am always on the lookout for some bargains, so I keep a lot of wish lists on the fashion apps I have on my phone. I’m hoping one day I can buy all of these, but I’m really trying to save for university at the moment! Lockdown isn’t doing me any favours though, as I cannot stop spending! That being said, I have just returned 2 items as they didn’t fit very well :(( I have picked 3 items from 3 of my favourite shops, so if I decide to do a part 2, they’ll be a few more shops and items I can happily talk about! urban outiftters ·         adidas originals 3-stripe pants I loveee these, and for someone who lives in comfy clothes, these would be perfect! I love the logo and 3 stripe detailing down the legs, and I live in black so honestly these are amazing! ·         iets frans… cream panelled rugby top iets frans is one of my favourite bran...

what i wear in a week

Image
Quarantine has really shown that I don’t dress up that nice when trapped in my own home! That being said, I do still make an effort and don’t just wear pyjamas every day, as I have to get dressed if I at least want to feel a slight bit productive. I’ve decided to post a what I wear in a week to show my quarantine looks, as they are simple but comfy, which is the main goal of a quarantine look in my opinion. Monday Top- Monki Bralette (not that you can see it)- Gilly Hicks Joggers- Primark  This is one of my go-to comfy looks, I am pretty much always wearing these joggers as they are so comfy, and I do love the top as it’s just simple and works well with the joggers! Tuesday Bralette- Primark  Top- Quiz  Trousers- Primark  I am loving this all black look recently after wearing it when we first started in lockdown! I love tucking tops into bralettes as an alternative to tying up tops which prevents it creasing and turns it into a cr...
