I'm Not Like Other Bloggers...

Image
I'm back today with a post I've had planned for a while, and one I have been thinking about for a long time. I find it so hard to put it into words really, but I'm not like other bloggers. I have only been doing this for 8 months now, and it's taken me a while to get to grips with blogging, uploading, scheduling etc. this is hard because people think it's just write a bit, take a picture, done, when it's really not. There is so much work that goes into one post, so it's hard to explain to someone what it's about. I may not have the best ideas, the best writing skills, and the best pictures like other bloggers, but there is always room for improvement, all the time. In another aspect, I'm not like other bloggers because of the way they lead their lives.  If you have seen on both my Instagram (@ameliaaa.____) and my Twitter (@ameliahooper02) my little saying has been "not like other bloggers. I don't eat avocado or have smoot

50 Questions I've Never Answered Tag!

Image
I've seen this post/video floating around the internet, so I decided to hop on the band wagon and do this tag! I don't know who came up with this tag, but all credit goes to them!  1. What’s your favorite candle scent? Probably White Jasmine from Next or Cranberry Ice by Yankee Candle. 2. What female celebrity do you wish was your sister? Beyoncé. Enough said. 3. What male celebrity do you wish was your brother?   I think I'd want Jack Maynard to be my brother because I just think we'd get on so well! 4. How old do you think you’ll be when you get married? I think about 27 or 28, when I'm financially stable and in a job I love. 5. Do you know a hoarder?   My mum is a shoe hoarder. 6. Can you do the splits?   Yes, all 3 types!!! I have. even able to do right leg since I was 9, box splits since I was 7 and left leg since I was 14. It's the best party trick!! 7. How old were you when you learned how to ride a bike?   A bike without stabiliser

London/Liverpool Haul

Image
If you haven't seen my latest blog post, you wouldn't know that I went to London and Liverpool last week, and I did go shopping, because I really needed some new clothes, especially some new jeans which I managed to get. The first thing I picked up was from a Strappy Sports Bra from Hollister and it was £8.99 in the sale which I think is really good as I have paid more for most of my other sports bras. I haven't worn this to dance yet but after trying it on a couple of times, it seems really comfy. I love the detail on this too and I can't wait to wear this at dance! Another thing which I picked up in London was a T-shirt from Bershka and it says "Blah Blah Blah" on it, which I thought was really cute and this would go so well with skinny jeans and also some of the trousers I have. It was £4.99 which I think is such a good price and I always think that Bershka's T-shirts are such good quality, so I couldn't go far wrong.

Back to My Favourite Places...

Image
I'm back today with a travel post and if you hadn't seen on my Instagram and Twitter, I went to London and Liverpool during my first week of half term. For those of you who don't know, London is my favourite place on this planet, and Liverpool is another city I love, so returning to both cities was such an amazing experience! Day 1- Crazy Car Journeys & Windsor The 3-4 hour journey to London was very long but was very entertaining thanks to Radio 1's Greatest Hits (I'm old!) and my sisters amazing (sarcasm levels at a maximum) singing skills! We decided to go to Windsor, to the castle, however, when we got there it was extremely busy, so changed our mind and chose to go on Wednesday Morning instead. Windsor was a beautiful town and reminded me so much of York, Lincoln and Beverley which are all quite close to my hometown! Day 2- St. Paul's, Starbucks & The Southbank 1st day in London and I was so excited!! The weather

October Faves!!

I am so excited to be back with another monthly favourites post and this month I have had a lot of favourites! These are my favourite posts to read and write and always look forward to them!! I'm going to start by sharing some apps I have been loving, and I rarely share my favourite apps because I don't think "Wow! They are amazing!" like I do with other things, but this month I have had two. The first is Pinterest , which has been a favourite of mine for a while now and this month I have used it more than ever! The second is Sandbox and this is like a colour by numbers app, and I just love it as it keeps me occupied on my bus journeys to and from school! There are 1000s of designs so you can colour anything from Nutella to a stick insect!!  I have had a few beauty favourites this month, the first being the Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter in "Golden Lights" . I have been wearing this pretty much every day this month, even f

A Bit About Me: My Style

Image
Today I'm back with my third installment of my 'A Bit About Me' series, and this one is all about my style. My style recently has changed a little bit, and I've started to wear outfits that are a bit more out of my comfort zone, but then again, I've loved being that bit more daring!  In terms of my style inspirations, I have a few and they are all on YouTube. They are: Olivia Grace, ItsAilish, and Grace Shadrack from Grace and Grace (the blonde one!). I really like the styles of all 3 girls, I think they are so sassy, cute and a bit badass, which I like.  Currently, my favourite items to wear are: hoop earrings, my New Balance trainers, black jeans and my cut out band tee. I think that some of these items completely transform my look, and it adds to the sass!  When it comes to shopping, my favourite places to shop are Topshop, Primark and I'm liking the style from Urban Outfitters, however I have never bought anything from there! Maybe one da

OOTD: Stripes & Smart Trousers

Image
I really liked the last OOTD post I did, which was my "Slogan Tee & Hoops" outfit, so I decided to do another post, this time it's more of an edgy look which is a little out of my comfort zone but I loved wearing it! Once again, a thank you to my little sister Elisha for taking the pictures, and I returned the favour by taking some pictures for her Instagram!  The top I am wearing is from H&M and I got it a while ago, so I can't link it but it is a Black and White High Neck Crop Top , which is made from a thin material which is nice when transferring into autumn, as it can be layered, however it was a warm day when I took these photos, so I didn't wear a jacket or anything like that.  I paired the top with some High Waisted Black Trousers from Missguided, which I also got a while ago but I've never had the guts to wear until a couple of weeks ago, and I love them! They have little slits at the bottom which are very cute and I re

Autumn Evening Routine

Image
After writing my morning routine, I decided to do an evening routine as again, it was viewed a lot last time and I also really liked writing it! So here's my evening routine: I get home about 4pm from school, and immediately I grab a snack and a drink and head straight to my room. I put on a hoodie and I spend 15 minutes scrolling through social media before deciding its time to get some work done. Because I'm in year 11, most nights are a revision or homework night, so I get out some work and start working at my desk or my bed because it's a lot comfier. I turn my phone on do not disturb and put some music on before starting to work. After a 30 minutes to 1 hour of working, I have tea with my family, and this night I had meatballs, which was really nice. After tea, I finish any work that needs doing, or if there's any blog posts that need writing I will do that in this time. When I'm done I'll head in the shower or the bath, if I have the time. Aft
