how i plan for a productive day

Image
As most people know, I am a very productive person, and taking days off is something I really don’t like doing. The day I’m writing this I’m recovering after having a very rough day where I was stuck in bed all day, where I just slept and watched Riverdale all day :(( So today, I am motivated to get back to it, but am resting too! These tips are for a perfectly productive day, with minimal distractions! These small tips really help me to enhance my productivity, and I’m hoping they can do the same for you!          have a planner and plan the week before As previously mentioned, I use the Yearly Planner from Ink Outside the Box, and I love this to plan out my weeks! Ideally, every Sunday I write in my blog work for the week, any academic work I want to get done, as well as any shifts I have in my part time job. This helps to give an overview for the week, and helps me see what needs to be done. As well as this, on a Post-It note, I write down my goals f...

productive day + a lie in... (let's find a balance)

It is fair to say my routine hasn’t stuck since going into lockdown, and I have been sleeping in a lot later and going to bed later. BUT… I’m still productive (at least on most days). How does this work I hear you ask??? Well I’ve got some tips that will help you stay productive and motivated as well as enjoying a lie in! I do understand that not all of these tips will help everyone but these are the ones that personally work for me! -         find your most productive hours This does take some time to understand, but since I have been lying in, I don’t get a lot done in the mornings, so will be most productive in the afternoon. This is because I spend some time getting ready, even though I don’t make loads of effort every day! I use the afternoon to get the majority of my tasks done, and if not all, the most important ones of the day will get done in this time. I will continue into the evening if need be, but I will leave the smaller tasks t...

year 11 advice: exams, stress and motivation!

Image
Here's me at 8 am yesterday morning with my results! I am very very happy! I thought this would be a good post to upload, as yesterday was results day and ultimately the day where I saw if my work has paid off, in which it did, so now is the perfect time to give my advice to the next set of year 11's that will be going to sit their exams! 1. Revise for your mocks. No matter what people say, mocks are so important because it allows you to know what levels you are working out and what you need to work on. It is so important also as it allows you to get into a revision routine, something you will have to get used to when full-on revision begins! You get into the mindset you need when you are revising in exam season, and you will find revision a lot easier later on into college studies. 2. Don't stress. It is easier said than done but year 11 is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be! It goes incredibly quick, and you just have to be prepared for it all. Reduce stress by...

How I Revise For My Mocks!

Image
At request of one of my friends. I've decided to spontaneously write this post, as I know that some people struggle revising, so I am sharing some of the ways I revise and the techniques I use! I am currently midway through my mocks, so when this post goes up, I'll probably be revising!  Mind Maps This is probably the main way I revise, as I am a visual learner, so find things easier to learn if they are presented on a page with colour, because they stand out more for me. Once you have completed your mind map, highlight the key points that you need to know: this should help you remember the facts a lot more!  Also add a post it note, and write down each subheading on the post it, so when you go to revise it again, you can look at the subheading and from that, write down everything you know about the topic. Then underneath in a different colour, write down the things you forgot, and this should remind you that you need to revise this again.  Revisio...
