At request of one of my friends. I've decided to spontaneously write this post, as I know that some people struggle revising, so I am sharing some of the ways I revise and the techniques I use! I am currently midway through my mocks, so when this post goes up, I'll probably be revising!  Mind Maps This is probably the main way I revise, as I am a visual learner, so find things easier to learn if they are presented on a page with colour, because they stand out more for me. Once you have completed your mind map, highlight the key points that you need to know: this should help you remember the facts a lot more!  Also add a post it note, and write down each subheading on the post it, so when you go to revise it again, you can look at the subheading and from that, write down everything you know about the topic. After completing my mocks about a month and a bit ago, I've been keen to share some advice and lessons I've learned because they are lessons I think most of us need to learn during exam seasons. I am also going to share with you some of the tips I have for motivation and not procrastination which to be honest, I would rather do sometimes! My first big lesson I've learned is to not burn out. I am one for revising too hard because I believe that I don't know it, however, this has ended in a couple of little breakdowns which could have been avoided, however, it is completely natural. I've learned this because after receiving my results, I could see that I'm actually doing fairly well, and I did manage to pass all my mocks, achieving grades 8-5 which is A*-C in the old specification for those of you who are unaware of the new grades. Firstly, I would like to just say that this post should have gone up a few days earlier, however I have only just received all of my presents so it has gone up a lot later than expected, and I will explain why it has gone up so late, later. This Christmas I have received so many amazing presents and I am truly thankful for each and every one of them, and I may not have tonnes and tonnes of presents but to he honest, I didn't ask for much so some of these came as a surprise!  I'm back today with a post I've had planned for a while, and one I have been thinking about for a long time. I find it so hard to put it into words really, but I'm not like other bloggers. I have only been doing this for 8 months now, and it's taken me a while to get to grips with blogging, uploading, scheduling etc. this is hard because people think it's just write a bit, take a picture, done, when it's really not. There is so much work that goes into one post, so it's hard to explain to someone what it's about. I may not have the best ideas, the best writing skills, and the best pictures like other bloggers, but there is always room for improvement, all the time.
